Beginning with habitat, Climate Coordinator Corinne Michaud-LeBlanc will give a talk about unique species and habitats on Vinalhaven and the surrounding Penobscot Bay and Islands Focus Area of Statewide Ecological Significance. Join us to learn more about how climate change is impacting our species and habitats, and conservation actions we can all take part in to keep our islands healthy and resilient.

Spring potluck at the Grange! Bring a dish to share. Immediately following the tree planting ... Dinner at 5PM.
A grafting demo on Saturday morning at 10AM - Ron will bring scion wood and talk about grafting techniques as well as offer a hands on demonstration.

Ron will share information about trees for the future. How he managed to salvage and raise these long gone American Chestnuts. And some recommendations for new trees that are becoming viable in our warming climate.
